Date Nut Cookies

1 cup flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda

Mix the above ingredients in a bowl.

In a different bowl cream 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup brown sugar. When thoroughly mixed, add 1 tsp vanilla and 2 eggs and mix well. Add flour mixture. Stir in 1 1/2 cup dates and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Roll in balls and then slightly flatten tops. Bake on a sheet sprayed with cooking oil.

Bake at 375F for 12-15 minutes.
